HUMANTECH IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF ERGOPOINTâ„¢ OFFICE SUITE

03.23.2011

FOR IMMEDIATE  RELEASE

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Humantech, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of Ergopoint™ Office Suite. With three decades of experience as board certified professional ergonomists, Humantech’s team designed this web-based training, self-assessment, and management tool for organizations looking to manage their office ergonomics process locally, nationally or internationally.  “Our experience in providing software solutions for clients is what enabled us to move forward and think strategically about our clients’ needs and futures.   We must reach them and provide service no matter where they are located.  Ergopoint Office Suite enables us to do that,” says James Mallon, Vice President.

“We already work with our clients both nationally and internationally, in a traditional one-to-one, face-to-face environment. Now we are able to broaden the reach of our clients’ office ergonomics program efficiently and with greater service,” Mallon says.

Ergopoint Office Suite has been intricately designed with our clients’ needs in mind.  The interactive training module was designed around Humantech’s Four Points of Contact™, a simple concept in which users learn proper work habits and workstation setup based on four key "interaction" points—the points between them and their work.

Ergopoint Office Suite combines three necessary tools that benefit both the employee and the office ergonomics process manager.  First, users complete a 30-minute online training that is both cost-effective and time-efficient. Second, a thorough self-assessment, completed in the form of a short survey, provides all the necessary data to understand workstation challenges and to pre-plan solutions.  Lastly, the program provides detailed management tools for the office ergonomics process manager, enabling them to direct resources and drive their improvement process.

In addition, this program allows the facility and safety staff to monitor issues and track improvements from one or more locations.  The data collected from Ergopoint Office Suite enables an organization to prioritize issues and equipment needs, highlight problematic areas, and determine the comfort levels of staff.  These combined factors will improve their efficiency and their ability to manage and complete their workloads.

“Ergopoint Office Suite was designed to drastically minimize the need for face-to-face assessments.  From our experience we know that if ten people from the general population were to utilize this training module, seven would be able to solve their own problems, two would require face-to-face assessment, and only one person would require a more detailed, customized action plan to eliminate their potential for experiencing a work-related musculoskeletal disorder,” says Mallon. “We are proud of our results.”
