Ergonomics Engineering Internship

Interns work under the direct supervision of experienced ergonomics professionals. Their role is to perform targeted tasks involving ergonomic analysis and development of counter measures to deliver, with supervision, specific work products for Humantech.

Internship duties will include:

Engineering
  • Conduct ergonomic analyses (task analysis, risk assessments, computer modeling, etc.)
  • Write and edit technical reports and conduct article research presentations
  • Assist in data collection and lead brainstorming sessions
  • Work with designers to illustrate recommended job improvements
Administration & Meetings
  • Conduct research on clients, vendors, ergonomic studies, etc.
  • Complete paperwork (team workload, time sheets, expense reports, etc.)
  • Participate in project meetings
  • Enter risk assessment data, organize vendor files, etc.
The successful candidate should be enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in industrial engineering, human performance or kinesiology, with an emphasis on ergonomics and possess:
  • A willingness to learn
  • Professional conduct and familiarity with business environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Time management and organizational skills.

Compensation is based on the term of Humantech internship. The position offers great hands-on experiences with potential career development opportunities.
