FALL ERGONOMICS SEMINARS TARGET IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY AND REDUCING INJURIES

For Immediate Release

Ann Arbor, MICH — Humantech Inc. has announced the fall schedule of its popular series of ergonomics seminars. Health and safety staff, engineers, facilities managers, human resources professionals, and ergonomics committees can learn to maximize the benefits of an ergonomics process from Humantech's experienced, certified professional ergonomists. The fall 2009 seminar schedule features a new office ergonomics course, co-sponsored by AliMed, and an industrial ergonomics course. Seminars will be offered in Humantech's Ann Arbor, Mich. corporate training center, Newport Beach, Calif., and Houston, Texas.

According to James Mallon, certified professional ergonomist and vice president of Humantech, "Our straightforward approach will arm participants with the knowledge and skills they need to target problem jobs and make immediate, simple, and effective improvements to their organization's workplace." As a result of this hands-on seminar, participants will be able to apply tools and techniques to make an impact on their health and safety metrics through an effective ergonomics process that drives down risk, injuries, and cost. He added "The new office course will give attendees an opportunity to see and test some of the newest ergonomically designed products firsthand, courtesy of AliMed."

Applied Industrial Ergonomics will be held in Ann Arbor, Newport Beach, and Houston. This two-day seminar focuses on practical approaches to improving problem jobs, increasing productivity, and reducing injuries in an industrial environment. Attendees will learn to evaluate workstations and equipment, identify factors contributing to work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and prioritize ergonomic improvements to maximize return on investment.

Applied Office Ergonomics, a one-day seminar co-sponsored by AliMed, features a new hands-on portion during which participants will review office equipment featuring the latest examples of keyboards, input devices, and workstation accessories. The goal of the course is to provide participants with the tools, knowledge, and resources to achieve dramatic improvements in office productivity and health and safety through ergonomics.

Complete course agendas and online registration are available on Humantech's Web site (http://www.humantech.com/seminars), or by calling the seminar coordinator at (734) 663-3330, ext. 222. Humantech's courses have been approved for ABIH CM points and meet the requirements for BCSP COC credits.
