NEW!!! Advanced Ergonomic Design Workshop

AIE Seminar
1-Day Seminar - 2010 Schedule
June 10  Ann Arbor, MI
September 30  Ann Arbor, MI

This new course is labeled "Workshop" for a reason. We take you beyond the identification and assessment of ergonomic risk, and head into "designing out" the risk in the first place Through group activities and a unique simulation exercise, you'll learn specific design guidelines for workstations, tools, controls and displays, and manual material handling; how to apply ergonomics criteria to equipment design using the design review process; and how to evaluate proposed and existing equipment for good ergonomic design. You'll have the opportunity to bring your own project materials for a hands-on case study. The workshop includes The Handbook of Ergonomic Design Guidelines, a $385 value, and is offered in conjunction with the Applied Industrial Ergonomics in Ann Arbor.

Attendees Will Learn To:

  • Identify factors contributing to workplace musculoskeletal disorders
  • Perform ergonomic risk assessments using the BRIEF Survey
