We’re excited to announce a new video series entitled, “The Bottom Line.” Each month, Managing Director and Certified Professional Ergonomist, Blake McGowan, will summarize current scientific research on ergonomics into a simple message that you can immediately apply to your workplace.
The optimal distance for palletizing is the first installment in this series. McGowan summarizes a 2014 study conducted by Steven Lavender and his colleagues from Ohio State University. They determined the optimal distance between a workstation (origin) and a pallet (destination) to minimize back twisting during loading tasks. For the “bottom line”, watch the video.
