Givaudan Engages Employees Through Ergonomics Process
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – VelocityEHS, the global leader in cloud-based environmental health and safety (EHS) and sustainability solutions, is proud to feature Givaudan, the world’s largest provider of flavors and fragrances, in a new Humantech client success video about ergonomics done right.® Givaudan uses The Humantech System® to manage ergonomics among its worldwide locations to reduce the likelihood that employees will develop musculoskeletal injuries.
Headquartered in Vernier, Switzerland, Givaudan’s flavors and fragrances influence the food, beverage, consumer goods, and fragrance markets, touching most people an average of ten times per day. With over 13,500 employees and 64 production sites worldwide, implementing a consistent, sustainable ergonomics process across multiple languages and cultures was a challenge. The Humantech cloud-based ergonomics software has helped. “It’s very detailed and it really gives us a good picture of what the teammate is going through on the job,” says Corey Densler, warehouse manager.
The Humantech System trains employees in ergonomics principles, helps them identify musculoskeletal disorder risk in jobs, and provides the ability to track, record, and measure risk across the organization. “Once I showed this to our stakeholders, they could tell it was night-and-day different. Just the ease of the assessment process and the way it’s laid out, they could see how we determine improvements and how we know what to do next,” explains Melissa Couch, global occupational health manager.
Givaudan first launched The Humantech System in the United States. Once the company established the system’s effectiveness, they implemented it across multiple international regions. “It definitely makes me feel excited. I feel like I’m part of a winning team and I feel like Humantech gives me the tools I need to be a valuable asset to the company,” says Tiffany Wilson, EHS Specialist.
