An article written by Michelle Bryner of the iPadNewsDaily was recently shared on an ergonomics professional on-line discussion forum. The
article titled “iPads Could Encourage Bad Posture, Experts Say” discusses the issues that may result from awkward body postures associated with
using the iPad, especially for extended periods of time.
I found that the “Tips for Mobile Computing” in the article to be fairly elementary, and was surprised that there was no mention of external input devices such as keyboards and mice.
In case you’re wondering, Apple does offer external accessories to provide more flexibility and ultimately improved postures (http://www.apple.com/ipad/accessories/).
