Humantech has applied for a $100,000 grant from JP Morgan Chase’s Mission Main Street Grants®, which seeks to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. Having submitted a questionnaire outlining a business plan that will result in growth of the business, we must now receive at least 250 votes to be eligible. Customers, fans, and community members can show support for Humantech’s application by voting for Humantech using Facebook Connect.
The voting deadline is June 19, 2015 and grant recipients will be selected by expert panelists. Humantech would use the funds to provide no-charge ergonomics services to small, start-up and emergent businesses in SE Michigan in areas such as workplace and production layouts, business process engineering, training, product design and reviews. “A single week of these activities will have a significant effect and sustainable benefit for its recipients in growing their small businesses,” said Humantech President James Good. “Receiving this grant would be an opportunity for us to expand and formalize our community outreach, strengthen our local relationships, and actively support Detroit’s resurgence.”
Through Mission Main Street Grants, Chase will award $2 million to 20 small business across America. The 20 grant recipients will be announced in September 2015. For additional details about Mission Main Street Grants visit www.MissionMainStreetGrants.com.
