NASA has a very powerful database of anthropometric data and other useful data as well. It includes technical information related to ergonomics and general safety. Topics range from workstation design to controls and displays. It is a great resource to help companies design workstations for different sizes of people. Data is available for both the 5th percentile females and 95th percentile males. One drawback is that the data is very technical, and it can be confusing to read through the many tables of information. Also, most of the data and workstation design information is intended for the aerospace industry and may or may not apply to general industry. Regardless, it’s well worth taking a tour of this web resource.
